How to Find Someone on Telegram by Their Phone Number

The short answer: Telegram has no dedicated phone number search. It works the other way around — you add the number to your contacts, either in your phone or inside the app, and if that person has an account and allows being found by number, their profile appears in your Telegram contact list. The whole thing takes under a minute.

Finding someone by number, step by step

On Android
